Croissant & marmalade on chocolate denim 12-18 months

Everyone loves a croissant and here I let the orangey fabric guide me to recreate a pot of marmalade. I love these very warm burnt oranges and chocolate brown together.

Made by recycling a pair of chocolate cargo jeans and in keeping with their original form I gave these mini barrel leg pants a white contrast stitching to mimic the style of a cargo and make them look more contemporary.

Patches of applique have been added to cleverly cover any marks left from unpicking pockets. The appliqué has been created using scrap fabrics, a mix of manly cottons & a little bit of polycottons. 

SIZING:

Sizing is very generously oversized with an elastic waistband. Designed to see your through some growth spurts. Many people buy these in their child’s correct size but they are generous and so need to roll them up to start with and once their little one grows they can drop them down and keep on wearing until the crotch area gets too small so they are made to last more than just a season.

They can easily see you through to closer to 24 months my 20 month old is still wearing this size currently and they fit very well the legs are just gradually getting towards the ankles. 

WASHING & IRONING:

Machine washable at 30 or 40 degrees but hang dry and shake them out to reduce creasing.

Iron with medium heat.

Do NOT tumble dry to protect integrity. 

FYI 

The appliqués may slightly fray around the edges when washed and this will enhance the motifs.

Please note that due to the nature of working with preloved materials, creating unique designs and cutting each piece one at a time I do not accept returns.
