This pink & white striped beauty, is upcycled from a 'Crew clothing' men's shirt. I love using men's shirts as I feel they are better quality and that men's shirting cotton comes in nicer prints and colourways.
I have kept the width of the bodice part the same but cropped the length and added a peplum to make it the perfect boxy fit but still feminine. The sleeves have been elasticated at he hem to give a puffed sleeve look without adding unnecessary volume to the shoulder. The buttons removed and the neckline finished with biased binding in the original fabric. I covered the original 'Crew' logo by adding a pocket and finished with contrasting gingham ribbon bows for a statement look.
